22ND Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum – Human Trafficking And Terrorism
Hon. Karen Bradley stated that the Parliamentary task force on human trafficking was formed last year to ensure that this issue gets real focus across the world. Hon. Bradley also mentioned that there are estimated to be 40 million victims of human trafficking and modern slavery around the world today. She emphasized that it’s not an immigration crime; this is an example of someone making money out of somebody else. It can affect people from all walks of life, all educational backgrounds, and all educational levels. She concluded that we can only tackle this situation if we work together.
