23rd Parliamentary Intelligence- Security Forum – War in Ukraine
Hon. Yehor Cherniev, Member of the Parliament of Ukraine, delivered a powerful appeal expressing gratitude for international military, financial, and humanitarian support while urging continued and accelerated assistance. He described the severe humanitarian crisis caused by Russia’s attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leaving millions without electricity, heating, or water during winter. Framing the war as a continuation of historic Russian aggression, he emphasized Ukraine’s determination to defend its sovereignty, identity, and European future. Cherniev stressed that while Ukrainian forces are advancing, additional support, particularly air defense systems, aircraft, tanks, and missiles—is urgently needed to hasten victory and reduce civilian suffering. He concluded by calling on international partners to strengthen their advocacy and commitment, underscoring that sustained support is critical to saving lives and securing freedom for both Ukraine and Europe.
