25th Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum – Ominous Security Challenges From Adversarial Nationstates

Addressing the Parliamentary Intelligence Security Forum, Mr. Matt Pottinger underscored the critical necessity for candid and comprehensive international collaboration in addressing the threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He elucidated that the CCP’s actions, including its imprudent management of the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental degradation, intellectual property theft, and support for authoritarian regimes, have jeopardized global health, prosperity, security, and liberty. Mr. Pottinger elucidated the deceptive strategies employed by the CCP, such as dual messaging and covert operations, to advance its objectives. He implored nations to engage in open dialogue with Beijing regarding actions that undermine sovereignty, impose economic burdens on the CCP’s detrimental actions, and implement measures to safeguard the rights of Chinese individuals residing abroad while fostering united front efforts among independent and sovereign nations to safeguard their shared values and interests.
