Ervin Massinga is the United States Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. A career member of the Senior Foreign Service, he holds the rank of Minister Counselor. Prior to his appointment to Ethiopia, Ambassador Massinga was the State Department’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Bureau of African Affairs. From 2018 through 2021, he served as the Acting Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Pakistan.
