As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives in May 2020, John Curtis was appointed as a co-chair of the Economics and Energy Pillar for the newly established, Republican-led China Task Force. The task force was formed to strategize and develop legislative solutions regarding the rising economic, technological, and national security challenges posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
