During his speech, Hon. Zanni mentioned that the most important geopolitical issue right now is the protection of the sovereignty of Ukraine and the protection of their democratic values against the aggression made by the Russian regime and Vladimir Putin, however, he pointed out that another important issue and probably more relevant that Russia soon is “China”. He then mentioned that we need to be independent of undemocratic countries’ supply chains because if they are not able to be independent in those very important industries and technologies for our future, our bargaining power will be very weakened compared to the treaties coming from those countries.
