Morgan Murphy entered the race for U.S. Senate from Alabama in October 2025. Prior to entering the race, he served in the second Trump Administration as the head of public diplomacy for the President’s Special Envoy to Russia and Ukraine. Previously, he served as a Senior Fellow at the America First Policy Institute, a national security advisor in the U.S. Senate, and press secretary to the U.S. Secretary of Defense. He is a bestselling author of five books and has written for Forbes, Vanity Fair, Newsmax, Fox, The Washington Times, and was a weekly columnist on national security for the Daily Caller. Morgan holds degrees from the University of Oxford, the U.S. Naval War College, and Birmingham-Southern College. A U.S. Navy captain, he is a veteran of Afghanistan.
